Sports Massage Therapy Southbury CT
If your body feels beat up, constantly tight, or like it never fully recovers between workouts or work weeks, this is the work that actually addresses that. I offer sports massage therapy Southbury CT out of a private, focused setting where every session is built around what your body needs that day. No routines. No guesswork. Just intentional, hands-on work with a real goal behind it.
Performance Massage Built Around You
What I do is better described as a performance massage, bodywork that targets the tension, restriction, and wear that builds up in active, hardworking bodies over time. Whether you’re an athlete pushing through a heavy training block, someone on their feet all day, or a desk worker whose shoulders have basically fused to their ears, massage therapy Southbury CT should do more than help you feel good for a day. It should actually shift something.
Choose Your Session
Every session starts with a brief intake so I understand what your body is dealing with that day. From there, everything is customized: pressure, focus areas, techniques, and any add-ons that will make the work more effective. Here is what is available.
First you start by selecting the length of the massage: 60 minute, 90 minute or 120 minute.
60 Minutes
A 60 minute appointment is focused and effective for maintenance or specific problem areas that need attention. This includes a brief intake, customized bodywork, and targeted treatment based on your goals.
90 Minutes
A 90 minute massage is ideal when you need deeper work, have multiple areas of focus, or want a more complete reset, as there is more time to work. The optional enhancements can only be added on to this length appointment or longer.
120 Minutes
The 120 minute massage is deeper, more thorough, and fully customized. This is best for complex patterns, full-body work, or when you've been putting off care for a while. Enhancements can be added to these too.
Optional Enhancements
Then you can choose any optional enhancement or add-on to add to your massage.
We offer add-ons like: CBD Oil, Aromatherapy, Hot Towels, and Hand or Foot Scrubs.
However, the following enhancements are only available for 90+ minute massages.
Swedish Massage
Light-to-medium pressure, full-body recovery work focused on nervous system reset.
Cupping Therapy
Decompression-based soft tissue work that pulls circulation into deep tension areas.
Hot Stone Therapy
Heated basalt stones worked directly into the tissue to help the body soften and release.
Stretch & Mobility Work
Assisted stretching, range of motion therapy, and movement based technique for mobility.
Focused Techniques
(90 & 120 MIN)
As a licensed massage therapist Southbury CT, I want every session to truly support what your body needs most. For longer sessions, you can personalize your experience with a focused technique or enhancement that brings more intention and targeted relief to the work.
Choose one focused technique, such as:
- Swedish Serenity for calming full-body relaxation
- Performance & Recovery for sports massage and assisted stretching
- Restore & Realign for deep tension and posture work
- Nervous System Reset for gentle restorative care
- Mobility Tune-Up to improve movement and flexibility
- Prenatal Bliss careful and intentional for expecting moms
- Ground & Flow for a more intuitive, breath-led experience
Youth Athletic Recovery
Young athletes put their bodies through a lot, and recovery is part of performing well. I offer dedicated sessions for athletes under 18, with a parent or guardian present, that include targeted bodywork, sports massage Southbury CT techniques, cupping therapy, and assisted stretching.
These sessions help athletes recover faster, prevent injury and maintain mobility through demanding training and competition seasons. The massages run 30, 45, or 60 minutes depending on what’s needed for the athlete.
- 30 Minutes focused recovery for one area (legs, shoulders, or back)
- 45 Minutes full-body maintenance or two focus areas
- 60 Minutes complete recovery session with advanced cupping and mobility work

When It's More Than Just Tightness
Tight, overworked muscles don’t always announce themselves as injuries. Sometimes it’s stiffness that won’t quit, a nagging spot that keeps flaring up, or a movement pattern that feels off. Sports injury massage therapy can help address that before it becomes something bigger, and if you’re dealing with something more acute, I’ll always be upfront about what bodywork can and can’t do.
Got Questions?
Frequently Asked Questions
What is your cancellation policy?
I ask that you provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Each client is allowed one courtesy waiver, but after that, cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice and missed appointments will be charged 100% of the scheduled session rate. If you arrive late, your session may need to be shortened to avoid impacting the next client, and the full session fee will still apply. If you are feeling sick or contagious, please contact me as soon as possible so we can make other arrangements.
All cancellation details will be outlined during booking process.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Comfortable clothing is best. For the session itself, you can undress to whatever level feels comfortable for you. You’ll be properly covered throughout the treatment, and only the area being worked on will be exposed. If you have questions or preferences, we’ll talk through everything before we get started.
What’s the difference between a sports massage and a regular massage?
My approach is more targeted and performance-focused than a typical relaxation massage. I focus on areas that feel tight, restricted, overworked, or constantly sore so your body can move and recover better. Every session is customized based on how your body feels that day rather than following a routine full-body sequence.
What should I expect during my first appointment?
Before your session, you’ll complete a quick intake form covering health history, injuries, tension areas, and goals. At your appointment, we’ll talk briefly about how your body is feeling that day so I can customize the session to what you actually need. Nothing is one-size-fits-all here.
Do I have to be an athlete to book a sports massage?
Not at all. A lot of my clients are active adults, busy professionals, healthcare workers, tradespeople, or people who simply carry stress physically. If your shoulders always feel tight, your low back constantly bothers you, or your body feels worn down from work or workouts, this work is built for you too.
Which session length should I choose?
The 60-minute session is best for maintenance, recovery, or focusing on one or two specific problem areas.
The 90-minute session gives more time for deeper work, multiple focus areas, and optional add-ons like cupping or hot stones.
The 120-minute session is ideal if your body feels especially tight, overloaded, or like it needs more extensive recovery work without feeling rushed.
Can massage help with neck pain, shoulder tension, headaches, or lower back pain?
Yes. Many people searching for ‘sports massage near me’ are dealing with chronic tightness, tension headaches, stiff shoulders, low back discomfort, or bodies that simply feel overworked. Targeted bodywork can help reduce tension, improve mobility, support recovery, and help your body feel less restricted and more functional overall.
